Throwback Thursday: One of the coolest pictures of me that I didn’t even know existed until like, two months ago. Eyes with pride!

The band trip to Virginia was honestly the perfect way to end my senior year. :) Everything about it was honestly wonderful, and I had so much fun. :D Thank you all for everything. <3

By the way, I never want to hear the word “shortcakes” again.

I’m pretty sure music doesn’t care what color someone is, whether they like girls or boys or both, whether they believe in some thing or some one, how much money they have or want, or how many friends or followers they have. We should all be more like music.

I love this.

I didn’t even realize Kon fell over in the background. xP Almost ready for my last high school band concert. :)

Time honestly flies.

I’m now getting ready for my last band concert in high school… ever. It’s honestly one of the most surreal things. As dorky as it sounds, being in band was the greatest thing I could have ever done. I made unforgettable friends, was given so many opportunities, and it showed me what I want to do for the rest of my life. It made me who I am today. When one thing ends, something greater will begin. Next fall, I’ll be in college studying music education, and will one day be on a stage just like that, having students of my own and hopefully impacting them the same way.

If anyone in band reads this, thank you for everything. It’s been a pleasure being in this ensemble with you. Again, as dorky as it is, band has honestly changed my life for the better. I thank freshman me so much for working up the courage to join late. I never thought I would ever be back in band, let alone conducting The Star Spangled Banner for my last concert. Let’s rock this tonight. :)

Last winter concert tonight. :(

Ughhh everything lately is so bittersweet. It’s exciting yet upsetting yet GAH. This really was one of the worst times to get sick, but I think everything is going to go well regardless. :)

Welp, three measure flute solo in Home Alone. Gonn’ rock this.

Marching band post.

Saying goodbye is really hard to do, in my opinion. I have a hard time adjusting to even little changes, and this one really isn’t all that little.

One of the best decisions I have ever made, as lame as it sounds, was to join band my freshman year. If I never joined band late, I wouldn’t be drum major, I wouldn’t have this passion and appreciation for music, I wouldn’t have met all of these amazing people, I wouldn’t have a career in mind, … I would literally have NOTHING going for me right now. Being a Marching Rebel my four years of high school has brought out what little good I have in me, challenging myself to push past my anxiety and take responsibility and leadership.

If any of you read this, it’s truly been a pleasure being your drum major these past two years. Marching band surely had its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade any of the time I spent these past four years for the world.

Thank you all for everything.

First competition of the season?

FIRST PLACE, BABY. <3 AND ALL THE CAPTION AWARDS.

My band should be so proud of themselves. We TOTALLY rocked it.

Today was the first day all week I didn’t have to stay after.

But next week I have to stay after every day…
